Chris has over 20 years experience of adventure climbing in the UK both in summer and winter, with many first ascents of sea cliff routes and ice climbs, including the first ever ascent of the famous white cliffs of Dover with Mick Fowler. Mountaineering trips include first ascents in Peru, Kyrgystan and Nepal and summer and winter attempts on peaks in Pakistan, Canada, Tibet and the European Alps. In 1997 his second attempt was made on Everest where he climbed above the South Col before turning back in the face of deteriorating weather. More recently, Chris has turned to mountain biking, participating in many national series race events including the popular Polaris Challenge and long distance endurance events in Europe.
